Alrighty there strangers, sorry for the lack of content in the off-season, but I've been busy.

Regardless, pre season is going to kick off in the next couple of weeks (stay tuned for when) but at the top of the pre-season pile is Bath in the first weekend of the September.

After the business part of the occasion is dealt with, there'll be an opportunity for going on the lash.

The Newcastle upon Tyne Lacrosse Club* is pleased to announce that after months of endless debate, the committee has finally decided upon an official club crest. The crest will be used for more formal matters, joining the infamous but slightly less ceremonious Knights logo. Think AGM, think club ties, think club crest. Get me?

The crest itself is relatively self explanatory. The design incorporates a pair of crossed lacrosse sticks, the helmet portion of the original Knights logo and three castle keeps representative of the city of Newcastle. It is, of course, silver and black - anything else would just be, as the kids say, whack.

The crest will soon adorn the long awaited club polos, ties and jackets. Check out the "Shop" section to see some mock ups and how you can get your hands on some club stash.
*I felt the announcement was so official, it deserved the use of the full club name.

The Christmas dinner for the 2010 festive season has been confirmed for 1700 11 December at Pizzeria Francesca on Manor House Road in Jesmond. 

 Anyone wishing to attend should email nutlax@hotmail.com

Places will be allocated to Club members first, then opened up to other/better halves etc

The social calendar for 2010-11 has been confirmed with the following dates already added into the club calendar:

Sat 9 October – Start of season social
Sat 11 December – Christmas social
Sat 15 January – New Year social
Sat 16 April – End of season social

Obviously these are extra over to the regular unscheduled imbibing sessions of every single Saturday during the season. But mostly these will have some theme or other and generally be more ridiculous than the rest.

Themes, times, venues etc will be confirmed closer to the dates so stay tuned....over and out

Exciting technological developments and a bit of copying from other websites mean we now have a downloadable club calendar.

This means that you can import it into your calendar programme of choice or on to your smart phone and have all the club events for the coming year (that we know of...) at your finger tips. You can also subscribe to the calendar which will mean that when something (eg a game) gets re-arranged, your calendar will automatically update as well.

I've been trying it out for a couple of days whilst playing around with it, and I am smitten with it.
