With our heroic Novocastrian Knights on a bye week, it was all to play for in Prem 2 as the other teams (except for Poynton who were also on a bye) looked to win and get 2 points.

In interesting results, Brooklands continued their rampant goal scoring form against Stops taking the W 23-4 and Nottingham lost out at home to Norbury 7-9.
Whether that Nottingham/Norbury result is a true measure of both sides’ capabilities, or that Norbury didn’t travel well, we’ll never know – but it shows that on the right day Norbury are there for the taking.
In less interesting results, Liverpool continued their struggles losing 17-1 at home to Mellor.
That leaves the table looking a bit like this:
1. Mellor 4-0-1 (W-L-D)
2. Brooklands 3-0-1
3. Poynton 2-1-0
4. Norbury 2-2-0
5. Nottingham 1-1-0
6. Newcastle 1-3-0
7. Stops 0-3-0
8. Liverpool 0-3-0
Next week sees our silver and black horde descend on Stops in what is another really-need-to-win-if-they-don't-want-to-be-relegated game. In our only comparable game, we scored more and conceded less against Brooklands, so we stand in good stead to pick up the W.
Elsewhere, Brooklands travel to Norbury, and Notts travel to Poynton. Both of those games should give a further indication of where we’re likely to stand at the end of the season.
