After a few weeks of “Sunday Silence” due to a lack of games across the board,
here’s an update since our last review….
Saturday 19 October saw only one game with your Newcastle upon Tyne LC Knights dominating Liverpool 16-2.
There were no games last weekend as the England squad were finishing their Fall Ball tour of Boston – which of course meant that all lacrosse in the North had to be postponed.
This weekend saw Ashton making the trip along the M62 to Hull and coming out on the wrong side of what may have been a cracker as Hull took the points 9-8.
The other fixture was Liverpool making the (relatively) short hop to Cheadle Hulme and coming out on back side of a 17-4 tonking.
So as of today, 3 November, the table looks like this:
Cheadle Hulme 4-1 (W-L)
Newcastle is the only remaining undefeated squad, with Ashton and Lincoln both winless. The disparity in number of games played makes the table essentially useless as an absolute indicator of where teams will be at the end of the season, but I think we can all see who the top teams are.
Next week sees the “localest” derby in the league with Cheadle Hulme making the trip to Ashton, Stoke hosting Hull and your very own Newcastle Knights making the trip to Liverpool.
