Here we go again for another week's worth of results from the Premier 3 universe, this week still in Lancashire Cup land.
Results in Pool A saw Hull have their customery melt-down against Leeds losing 16-1 and Mersey Guild beat York by an unlikely score of 22-14 - that may actually have been 11-8. This means Leeds and Mersey Guild have qualified barring a huge win for Hull next weekend over York in the final game. (Mersey Guild have the tie breaker over York, and drew with Hull)
Pool B saw a Oldham top Chester 11-2 and Newcastle run out 11-8 winners over Liverpool. These results leave Newcastle and Oldham tied for top place in the group on 4pts having played all their games with Liverpool behind on 2pts with Chester still to play.
If Liverpool beat Chester, Us them and Oldham will be tied up at the top of Pool B so it'll go down to a "mini-league" of the results between the three of us. This will have us all with 1 win and 1 loss, so it'll come down to other measures that I can't comment on with any authority so I'm not going to.
Whatever happens it should all be cleared up on or shortly after 5 Feb.
